ADVENTURES OF LUCKY PIERRE, THE
(1961)

(From Joe Bob's Ultimate B Movie Guide)

First full-color "nudie cutie," inspired by the success of nekkid-bimbo shorts at the Town Burlesk Theater in Toledo, Ohio. El cheapo burlesque comic Billy Falbo stars in a series of shorts featuring anonymous models who cavort in the park, the shower, the photo studio, and Chicago's HillTop Drive-In, but never speak (because they couldn't afford sync sound). This $7,500 three-day wonder played for the raincoat crowd all over America, and the drive-in sequence, in which Pierre watches "I Was a Teenage Nudist" and "Ten Nights in a Nudist Camp," foreshadows the future careers of director Herschell Gordon Lewis and producer David F. Friedman. 1 star
